“Small businesses need support”: Hospitality reacts to Chancellor’s £15bn cost of living package

Hospitality leaders have responded to the news of Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s £15 billion package to tackle the cost of living crisis, which includes a windfall tax on energy companies.

Sunak announced that every UK household would receive an energy bill discount of £400, with the poorest households receiving an additional payment of £650 to help with rising costs.

He also announced a windfall tax on energy companies, which is set to raise £5 billion this year.
